From dimensions of blinding sleep
Chased by malicious episodes
Flashed across my new conscience.

Impassive glares are my rewards
For having once slept.
No one wishes to hear me afresh.
Once a sleeper, always a...

Awaken at last
At the mid-section of two worlds,
My outstretched hands are spurned,
The deliberately blind despise seeing eyes,
And seers hate converted sleepers.

Awaken at last
Ancient questions unfold before me,
Why men love darkness,
Why they run to induce sleep,
The sleep of ignorant bliss.

Awaken at last
I hate that I ever hated
What pain I've distributed
Mockingly revisits me
Now that I would heal before harm.

Awaken at last
The purity of light's beauty registers,
Love's sacred wonders I embrace,
The greatest friend to me is me.
Those who blindly sleep
As I once slept
Scare me now.
